Sleepy time routines

As sunset approaches, my young caique likes to find a soft dark perch.

He will sometimes stop playing to jump onto my shoulder and wrap himself in my hair, lean into my neck on one foot and preen himself to sleep.

Other times he runs to the back of the cardboard box in his travel cage, or find the tallest perch on his cage to sleep cuddled against a toy.

My cockatiel usually does one last pace around to find something to sing to, and then goes and sits on this seahorse toy (that's hung from this swing that's attached to the ceiling lol) then eventually he will fly over and do a last cuddle and usually puts him self back in the cage when he's ready for bed. If the sheet is off, he may come out again but if I put it on partially, then that's it, he's done for the night once he's in there, and he will be pissed off if you put your hands in the cage after that lol
