As sunset approaches, my young caique likes to find a soft dark perch.
He will sometimes stop playing to jump onto my shoulder and wrap himself in my hair, lean into my neck on one foot and preen himself to sleep.
Other times he runs to the back of the cardboard box in his travel cage, or find the tallest perch on his cage to sleep cuddled against a toy.
