Thanks Eloy! my life is still hectic... having to put many things aside while trying to deal with it all... but yes my flock is doing great! and I feel more lucky than ever to have them by my side.

Little update on Saphira, she's now 16 months old and still very sweet. She tends to be a little more one person oriented these days (with me) but she's still very easy going. She still acts like a big baby. Excuse her dirty beak, she very much enjoys dunking her whole beak in her sprouts...


She gets on well with my patagonian conure but they're not bonded and tend to get a little jealous of each other when i'm in the picture. They love flying together, it's a beautiful sight but i'm no good at capturing it on camera. My pionus boys still boss both of them around, the two little terrors are bonded to each other and very moody.

She is so beautiful, and it sounds like you are doing more then well with her and the rest of the flock! I would love to see Them fly, but I can only guess how hard it would be to get that on camera properly

The only thing I'm concerned about are these lighter bars on her feathers. Stress bars? I don't see why she would be missing nutrients because she has a good diet but maybe she is?

She doesn't eat much pellets, mainly fresh veg/fruits and sprouts, nuts... maybe it would help to feed her more? if the macaw experts have any advice...

Macaw babies often have stress bars.

When she does her first good molt the new feathers will tell you a better story.
