Regurgitation smell?

It’s mating season for my two conures and the male is constantly regurgitating into the females mouth.

the smell of the regurgitation has a vinegar smell (without the sting) and I can smell it on both of their beaks during this time of year.

but once the season is over their beaks/mouths smell goes back to normal.

I was wondering if anyone knew what exactly regurgitation smelt like? I’ve searched around the internet and haven’t been able to find anything.

It smells sour,,,
Hmmm no... smells like a dull vinegar smell without the sourness.
I was researching sour crop, but it seems sour crop makes the bird extremely ill?

ive noticed this smell last time they were mating, and after they stop, and the male stopped regurgitation... the smell was nonexistent
