Peppermint smells

Hi there, i just wanted to check if the smell of peppermint/menthol can be harmful to a budgie? I sometimes use a mint pain spray for my body that smells very strongly of menthol and was scared if it could be bad for a budgies lungs and eyes. Its not pure menthol or an essential oil, but still smells strongly

If you mean like Reflex or similar, my partner uses that and I make him use it outside with all doors and windows closed, and then wait until the smell dissipates before coming indoors.

We have to use a muscle rub from time to time. We do not use it or go near the birds if we have it on.
