Basic introduction to the Zon'-
Puff eats Zupreem Nut&Veggie blend(both types),but is not on it since yesterday (because it ran out,I asked one of the staff members to care for him while I was away and my batch ran out yesterday).Still latched to sunflower seed diet (eats dried corn and other seeds, too).Wants to know what else I should try.Is Roudybush good?Or others?I don't think there is Harrisons or Nutri Berries here and I don't go online shopping (and won't at the moment).
Any advice?Thanks.

The pellets the bird will eat are the best ones to give. So try whatever is available to you and see if he likes them.
I use Hagen Tropican :)

Roudybush is a good food :) The benefit of it over Zupreem is no sugar and no dyes. However, that also makes it harder to transition some birds to it.

Yes,I've looked at Roudybush's packaging and how it says that it could be hard to transition. The best result I'll get would still make Puff have a seed diet as the store does it.Maybe I could convince them to let me prep his food but I'm unsure.
Another question would be which type could hold moisture better as I'll only be able to see him 2-4 times a week starting from 2020 Feb.That means that chances are that they will be left to soak (there will be water there sometimes (I don't know why,I suspect hole in ceiling but I can't change it.).He is a one-preson and is rightly so (if you tell me he lets someone else touch him or if he's being nice to someone else I won't believe you as noone really is treating him nicely).

Or maybe not hold moisture.Just something that lasts longer when wet.Zupreem that I know of will get mushy and soft.

Most pellets disintegrate pretty readily when wet, unfortunately.

So questions now
-Goods pellets for Zon' as specific diets are required for them
-Good seed diet for Zon'
-how to convert
-If any pellets are better with moisture/stay good when wet longer than other pellets.

Sometimes you just have to experiment with brands to see what your bird will like and eat. Zupream does have sugar in it. Least some of the products do anyway.
When it comes to pellets, I think I have the fussiest Zon in the world. I do use roudy bush, when I can find it.
I tend to throw my pellets into blender, till powder form and sprinkle or mix into chop. They eat it. Or mix into morning oatmeal, they actually like the pellets moist and wet.
Yesterday I bought some of this to try. They seem to like this....ingredients aren't bad.

The Caitec come in a couple sizes.

It is hard to make recommendations since we don't know what all is available to you.

Also, what is "ash" in pellets?I've seen it be in a lot of pellet brands after looking through the pellet page.
