so i got my lovebirds (and parakeet) pellets. when i got them they were on a all seed diet. they aren’t eating their pellets. and if i put seed with the dry pellet but they just fished out the seed. so i soaked them and put a little oats and seed and millet so they’d eat it. they ate but a little. today i soaked their pellets again today with pure pumpkin and seed. they barley touched it today. what do you guys use for birdie bread? i might introduce that.. what are other ways to introduce pellets..i don’t want these guys starving themselves but they need a diet change. i didn’t add any millet or oats because those are treats for every now and then and the spray oats are given occasionally.

The above link is helpful.

I find that mixing seed and pellets never works. Even my lovies who eat both foods, will pick out those seeds first.

Try sprinkling the pellets in with the veggies if they like veggies.

Including pellets in foraging tray and mats is another good way to incorporate them.
