If you have to remove your male, your hen will guard that nestbox with her life even if she is starving her chicks to death accidentally. To remove her from it will be very traumatic, as you will need to use a towel.
Even if your male stays, with him acting this way now, you would need to monitor those chicks closely and may need quick access if you see something wrong. Again, you will likely have a pair of birds fighting with you to protect their chicks.
Bad situations all round.
No breeder uses internal nestboxes.. And for good reason.
I can’t move it, I would have to cut the zip ties and then pull it out. I think it would cause to much stress.
Do it. It is worth the risk.
At worst they abandon nest, barely week old eggs won't have developed much. This is unlikely. The alternatives involve actual fully formed hatched chicks suffering in pain.
Try to be gentle with the box.
