My local pet store has a mini macaw that has been there for almost two years. The poor thing has been in a small cage with no toys, no interaction etc and in the last few weeks has started to pluck
The woman who runs the pet rescue I volunteer for talked the pet store owner into "giving" the bird to the rescue and I am going to foster him.
Today after work, I am going to pick up "Booger". We will see what he thinks about having fresh fruits and veggies instead of absolutely NOTHING but pellets.
Poor booger!
