Like all scarlets she tests me every minute I hold her but she knows I am in control now and is sweet as pie

Her name is rajah* (like the tiger from aladin

She was boarded at my good friends bird shop and the owners said they most likely couldn't keep her anymore due to her noise level and excessive travel.
then they left the country with an open ended ticket so we are trying to get in contact with them to see if I can adopt her or even when they would be home, etc.

either way im over there every day I can to play with her. She doesn't get to be out of the cage at the shop unless I am there and I want to spend every minute I can with this sweetheart especially if we don't know how long she'll be there!

I brought my mom to the shop to visit her yesterday and she was actually having more fun with a moluccan. Lol she said she looked like a dreamsicle and the cockatoo kept sticking out her foot to shake my moms hand it was adorable. Too bad at my parents house my dad invoked a no bird rule. That's why I moved out! Haha

I feel the same way about not changing a name that a bird is used to and responds to - they have enough to adjust to when their whole world changes. But somebody should have told them that Rajah (King) is a boy's name. They should have called her Ranee (Queen)!

Ranee is such a good "red head" name too! Oh well she can have a manish name. My mom has been calling her cockatiel Daisy for 10 years...her cockatiel with a big yellow face and bright orange cheek! Lol
