Meet Splash and Smudge

Through recent events I've ended up with an empty cage and a quiet home. The silence has made Tau the tiel go quiet on me so I've made the decision to fill my house with the sound of busy budgies again.
So meet Splash:


And Smudge:



All together now:


Both are about 9wks so you can imagine they don't really sing and play that much as yet, still give the quiet baby chirps and are still skittish. Both are fully vetted and fully fledged.

Smudge is from a clutch of five from a home that didn't have a clue what they were doing. Four died. He was fostered to a pair at a breeder's so is foster parent reared. Returned to the adoption list immediately after fledging.
Splash was just surrendered. I don't know the backstory other than he was well cared for. Going on the age the owners didn't have him for long.
Both budgies are straight adoptions. No messing about with fostering and potentially losing them at the end.

God I just love young budgies, such huge eyes!!
Photos will be few and far between for now @Zara, they're so skittish last thing I want to do is chase them with a camera.

I suspect Splash´s owners bught him on impulse and later changed their mind.

Glad you are giving these two little ones a loving home after such rough starts in life.
