I did something a little reckless.

I went to my local outsmart to pick up some millet, when I decided to look at the budgie cage. Oh my goodness there were some cute little birds!

One of the cuties really caught my eye. It was a male, yellow and green, with the most beautiful wings I have ever seen.

I am a big supporter of rescuing a d adopting animals instead of purchasing them. But this little guy was just too beautiful.

So, I have this little budgie sitting with me at the bus stop. He doesn't have a name.

I have extra cages at home with perches and toys so he will have a place for the next month.

Oh the dangers of pet stores........... I almost walked out with a conure one day when all I was doing was running in for millet. Luckily - I guess- I wasn't heading home but had to go to a meeting so taking a bird with me wasn't really an option. But I understand the temptation! Looking forward to seeing pics of your new little guy.

He seems to be doing really well!

He has eaten his food offered to him, and he isn't staying in one perch.

His poops look healthy and normal.

We are chilling out in my bedroom (separate from the flock in the living room). He is perched on top of my laptop. He seems like quite the chill little dude, which I like. He also has super smart eyes like Bonnie does, and you can really tell them they begin pinning.
