Looking for a Linnie (Michigan)

Mr. Bosco is so sad without a friend. He screeches anytime he hears another bird, whether outside or on the TV. He will stare at Ripley and scream at him, trying to get his attention, but Ripley does not care to answer.

I have considered the possibility of a similar sized species, and while I haven't ruled it out completely, I do think another Linnie is in his best interest.

I know they aren't that common, but hoping if I put this out into the universe somehow things will work out. I would prefer something within a days drive if at all possible (Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, etc) but I am flexible.

I am 100% not looking to breed but do not have a preference on gender.

After sharing my life with buddies of the same species, it's pretty difficult for me to imagine going solo again. Parrots are so social and flock oriented. It is very accepted to not keep herd animals solo. I'm really feeling the same about parrots these days

Ripley doesn't seem to care one way or another, but Bosco is 100% needing a friend.

Parrot Hope is a pretty large rescue. I think you have to submit an inquiry about what birds they have. Charlie Brown is smaller and I think lists their birds online.
