My Quaker, Blu, molted for like 6 or 7 months straight when I first got him last year. I thought it would never end! But it did. He's molting again now. So far it's been about 4-6 weeks.

I don't think anyone can say exactly how long it can last cause lighting and diet and other factors all come into play.

Murphy my budgie always has pin feathers growing on his head and neck. Only way to help him is to catch him and get rid of them, otherwise he rubs on the perches until his skin is raw. Seems a never ending battle with the pinnies.
Mickey the female just most a couple times a year. Explanations are few.

My Blue Crown has been moulting since mid-September. I thought he had started plucking from the stress of moving to a new house and new owners. All the feathers have been old and quickly get replaced by a new one. He's just taking his sweet time getting it finished.

My gcc has been molting for months. It's probably the amount of light she gets
