How can you tell? :chin:

I would try putting him in some very shallow water for a soak (you'll want it to be about 80 degrees)

Alternatively you can use a moistened cotton swab to gently work at it.

(This is what you do with a leopard gecko that has stuck shed. I have no experience with this species or situation)

If it wasn't from a glue trap its likely metabolic bone disease

The only way to fix it is a proper diet, but I think it may be too far gone for this little guy. It's sad but it's the way life goes out in the wild :(

Is the body sticky? Or are the legs stuck like that?

I wonder if it's truly a baby if something tried to eat it while still in the shell and got interrupted?

I don't think it's a baby, it's hard to tell from one picture though. This looks like a brown anole, I used to catch them all the time when I was a kid, they're usually really small... I think the babies are only the size of a quarter

edit: I don't know if brown anole was the right name but that's the first that came to mind :roflmao:

Was he your pet or did you find him outside? Happy to hear he’s okay, I’d love more pics of him with the snails

Sorry for being out of topic, but you have snails! I loved them when I was littler, I use to have a place for them and would grow plants for them, they even had eggs once! But that was in NM,we moved and it's too cold for them so I haven't found any :( I think snails are very cool, and keep us updated on the lil' lizard, he is such a beauty

I owned Mystery snails for a long time, but I've always wanted a land snail

Actually what I really want is one of those giant African snails... they're so cute!
