NOW STOP IT, COCKATOO!"
I was waiting for Milton stories for last few days... OMG, what a command!! I think I should use this type of command for my son also, may be that'll work.Milton was starting to pick at new feathers around his neck. After many gentle reminders -and redirection ( which failed) I went for the "BIG ONE"....
Me: NOW STOP IT, COCKATOO!"
Milton stopped picking and stared in shame at me...so I'd glace at him every once in awhile, just to make sure he wasn't picking...which is EXACTLY what HE wanted...
That doesn't work...I tried!I was waiting for Milton stories for last few days... OMG, what a command!! I think I should use this type of command for my son also, may be that'll work.
Such a character Bob!!This morning, I was listening to music- and "I Am A Rock" came on. The last line of the song came on..."and a rock feels no pain...and an island never cries".
Now,I do like to sing along, which I did...
Milton: ( looking right at me) "I CRY?"
Me: No, you don't cry...people cry...birds don't cry...
Milton: "OK...I A PRETTY PRETTY BIRD!"
Tikki, our Sun, has become quite, er, amorous but (fortunately for us) he has an old oven glove and his "woobie" which he gives equal attention to .....Soon after I took his picture,Milton attempted to feed me.
I was flattered, but told him "no thanks"...
Nice click Bob... Does he wear some collar?Milton ..just hanging out on Monday morning... View attachment 376892
Wow, that is one of my birds favourite songs. My first budgie was found outside. She had been attacked by birds and was fighting back against corvids. She never could fly like a "normal bird", She flew like a kolibri (she survived and lived with us until she died of old age). She loved S&G. I miss her...This morning, I was listening to music- and "I Am A Rock" came on. The last line of the song came on..."and a rock feels no pain...and an island never cries".
