So heartbreaking that Joanie passed away!

I hope that things go well for little Velvet. Orphaned foals are a challenge, to say the least. But if anyone can do it, I'm betting Freelands will do right by that baby. From seeing their set-up on the foal cam , they are a professional caring facility and little Velvet will get everything that she needs. RIP Joanie.

Rosa delivered at 4:43am this morning. A very easy birth. Congrats on her little filly!

It is super scary when a mare starts to foal, then gets up with a baby sticking out of her! I was afraid she'd hurt the baby, or break it's fragile legs as she laid down again. Guess I'm not cut out to be a broodmare nurse!
