And responding to your thread title. When I saw it, I thought, "yeah, I never do that."
Then, this morning, I could smell a strong scent by my birds' cage, but my allergies are pretty bad today so I couldn't tell what it was.
I went all over the apt., sniffing. Bedroom, not it. Bathroom smelled fine (I was worried since we've had backups in the past which are better left undiscussed), kitchen was okay although it probably is time to empty the compost pail.
I was starting to think that maybe there was a gas leak. Then, as I walked by their cage again, I realized that one of them had been gnawing on their cinnamon stick and that was what I'd smelled.
Fortuntately birds can't tell when you're blushing from embarrassment.
