i need help (sad update #25)

i have this yellow budgie named nana, she recently got sick and my mom wont take her to the vet. shes gotten really weak and she feels warmer than usual ,she cant fly well anymore, keeps falling, increase of eating /drinking ,she is having trouble pooping when she does its runny and big. she has been eating and drinking alot. her wings have been droopy and im not sure what else to do, ive only had her for a solid month and a half. i need help, please..

i should probably mention shes been on the cage floor a lot lately, she hasnt been active either,,

edit, i put her down and she could barely stand on her own, im scared.

I’m so very sorry to hear of the terrible situation your bird is in, it must be horrible torture for both of you. Has your mother given a specific reason for refusing the vet care? Im sure she doesn’t want to be cruel but maybe doesn’t realise how ill your bird is and how much it is suffering. I’m just thinking maybe she would take your bird if you could pay her back over time?
I am sorry I don’t have much advice..... to me it really sounds like your bird needs the vet or it is just a matter of time before it will need to be buried.

It really sounds bad to me I hate to say.

we dont really have the money to take her. my mom isnt even home right now. i dont want to bury another one, i dont. im scared shes going to die on me,,

Well, I am very sorry to say without vet attention, the chances are not good she will get survive. Every bird needs vet care. Try to keep her comfortable as possible. Lower her perches if she is falling off.

im currently holding her and giving her lots of attention. i just wanted to give her the best life possible.

i did get her from petsmart. yeah their cage is in my room but my other budgie is there and cant risk him getting sick too. shes having trouble staying perched.

It sounds like she needs urgent vet care. Have you asked your mother if you can work out some kind of loan situation? I'm not sure of your age/situation but perhaps you can agree to do some extra work around the house or otherwise to work off the debt.

my mom isnt home,, and ive tried to get her to take her to the vet, but nothing will get her to.

I’m so very sorry you and your bird are going through this. Is there another relative you can ask for vet help? Keep her very warm. Sorry nice she’s eating and drinking like crazy, could she be trying to lay an egg? Is her bum a bit swollen?
