Mochi is my first bird. He's a yellow sided GCC, and is the love of my life, lol! Avian Avenue was my go-to page for all the research I needed prior to getting a bird. I got him last Dec, so on Dec 2nd it'll be his one year gotcha day! He turned one in Sep. We look forward to many great avian learning experiences...cus thats what it is to own birds. I might as well ask my first question. Most of you know it's pomegranate season!!! Mochi had his first last month and is officially hooked.(not too fond of the mess....it's like a murder scene every time, lol!) Here it is. I'm wondering if the thick skin of the pom is safe/non toxic for conures?? He doesn't really eat it, more like shreds it up into a million tiny little pieces for me to clean up! I made sure to wash the outer skin as well, and its an organic pom. After writing a 5,000 word essay, all i need to know is this..haha, sorry guys!
Is it safe for mochi to play and chew on the outer skin as well as the white membrane stuff? Thank you all
