Checking out the neighborhood
Hello y'all! My name is Ciara and I'm from South Carolina and I have two cockatiels, Horry and Moultrie, that are siblings. We three are still getting to know each other as I jus got them about a week and a half ago. They are basically twins, except Horry has 4 dots on the back of her head. They go in a couple of weeks to the vet to get their first check up and for DNA gender testing. I initially thought they were both girls, but Moultrie is the larger of the two and acts more male. I'm still pretty new to the whole world of birds, even though I had a cockatiel a while ago, but I didn't have him long as my living situation made it to where I had to find him a home. I also promised myself once I got to where I could own another cockatiel, I would and now I own two! Horry is much more laid back and the sweet one, but she still hasn't completely warmed up to me yet. They were hand fed but also raised with their parents. Their daddy didn't like sharing their mother with the two babies, so their owners had to find them a home, which was with me! I hope to grow in my knowledge of birds, especially cockatiels, through this site with y'all's help and advice. Thanks y'all!!
