Is there any good training advice for letting me lift my gcc’s wings for putting on her harness? Treats don’t work because once she sees the treats she’ll be too excited and bite me. Also she doesn’t really comply to commands (like step up ) that she learned before.

I’m not sure what harness you have, but the Aviator Harness comes with a really good instructional DVD. If you don’t have that one, some advice I would offer is to try and get your bird used to having the wings lifted casually. Maybe during normal cuddle time, just starting to handle the wings a little bit. Start with touching them on top, then when she’s comfortable there, start putting fingers underneath, and then try to pull the wings out. After that you may be able to introduce the harness into the equation. Try not to do it too often, as touching there can count as sexual stimulation for birds.
