Hi all! I've been researching birds for a few months now trying to decide on the right fit for me. After discovering Bourke's Parrots I've quickly fallen in love with them. Unfortunately I've only been able to find aviary birds.
Does anyone know where I might find someone who breeds and hand rears OR raises Bourke's? Or perhaps a breeder who would hand rear by request.
I'm hoping there'll be more luck later on when spring comes around, but I figured I'd put my feelers out now for any info
In the meantime, I would love to hear all about everyone's Bourke's and any tips or tricks, toys, food etc etc.
I'd also love to know what a typical daily routine is with a Bourke. I know they're semi nocturnal and have a specific day-night cycle and would like to know more about how that looks!
Also, I have a cage already but I'm unsure if it's big enough. Dimensions are approx H165cm X W76cm X D46cm. Ideally I'd like bigger but the bird would have free roam of a whole bedroom majority of the time.
