Green-Rumped or Spectacled Parrotlet Breeders

Hello. I’m sorry to make two posts so close together, but I hope that no one here minds. I’m hoping that someone here knows any breeders of spectacled or green rumped handfed babies. I’m located in South Carolina, in the US.

I feel I have done a lot of research, but I will of course be continuing between now and when I get my babies.

I decided to go with Pacific Parrotlets after learning of the health issues that the previously mentioned species experienced because of the small gene pool in the US.

Pacific parrolets can also have genetic issues if they fall victim to poor breeding practices. Use your discretion to find a great breeder that doesn't breed close relatives. Sometimes well meaning people allow the birds they bought as pets to breed in their home, not realising they are brother and sister. Breeding should be left to the professionals who track their pairings.
