Urgent Egg bound lovebird? Should I act on this?

Please help! Her behaviour is completely different lately -

• Sitting on the cage floor all the time
• Drooping of the wings
• a loooot of masturbation
• swollen vent area
• black feces!
• strong nesting and aggressive behaviour

What should I do? Should I call an avian? Is she egg bound or is this a normal process of laying eggs?

PS. She doesn't have any mate, it's a single bird

All sounds normal except the black poop. What is her diet?
I would call your vet and see if they can take a look at her. Black is not a good colour for poop.

The masturbation, swollen vent, "aggression", sitting on cage floor, slight droop to the wings are all normal nesting behaviours.

The black poop is a big worry. She needs a vet ASAP.

Black poop can mean bleeding high up in the digestive tract.
I would be concerned with those symptoms & consult a vet.

Thank you all! Unfortunately an avian vet wasn't available today so we have an appointment tomorrow in the afternoon. Hope it will not make things worse...
