Doing feather necklaces for Car Bowl!

For my small town Car Bowl we are selling pastries, but on the side I am selling necklaces I made out of my budgies feathers! There are so many varieties

Yeah, but I'm too young. (My real desire is to make bird toys) but that will come when I'm older

Cultural appropriation is when you are presumed to be making money off of things from someone else's culture or when you are disrespecting it, like by dressing up as someone from somewhere else. Your necklaces are lovely, but they look Native American. If you are Native American, no one will care.

Do * not * tell us your ancestral background; I'm trying to answer your question, not pry or shame anyone. This info is just for you to ponder & so that you are aware.

Thank you for the info, don't worry I was not offended in any way, it's good to know. I don't think someone will blame for cultural appropriation, because they are plastic beads and budgie featheres(and I live in Nebraska with small towns, haven't seen anyone indian) we are just small towns having a fun day!

Now that I have a break, I'll share the good news! Sooo....I got to see one of my past teachers, she commented on my necklaces, and told me that she could sell them in the antique store!!!! @QB1rd, you are right!

Wow, lots of necklaces! How many birds do you have?

I made some earings from one of my birds feathers and sent them to someone on AA It´s such fun to make beautiful jewellery and other crafts from feathers, I even made myself some huge earrings from dove feathers dropped by the wild birds who visit me

Beautiful! Put a disclosure saying " Not Native American made", I have to do that when I make stuff for the Wildlife auction.
