My Green Cheek Conure’s foot got bitten my one of my Peach Faced Lovebirds! Poor little guy kept hiding his little foot close to his body. He got a piece of skin broken and his foot is turning purple on the top! Please help I don’t know what to do. He wasn’t bleeding, and after the initial shock he was whistling and playing with his toys so I didn’t go to the vet. But I noticed the purple is still there. Is it just bruising?

Hi Cristina,

From the picture, just looks like a little nick. If the purple doesn´t start going away later today, I would consult with your vet just incase.

Be sure to keep the cage clean in the meantime to reduce chances of infections. And monitor to make sure he is using his foot and able to step on it now.
