Devastating is about what best describes how I feel today. We all know when we rescue an older pet their time may be shorter then we want.

I lost a piece of my heart again last night. Vet in the morning, ER Vet later last night to help him cross.

I believe neurological issues that were slowly happening. Blood work, xrays and ultrasound late July were fine. An example of how fast things can change with seniors.

I am absolutely nauseated from this. 3 dog losses in the last year. Just is taking a horrible toll on me.

Yes, I have my forever inherited dogs, but they aren't really mine even though they are. Not the same bond and love I had for my three.

So here I am sad, feeling sick from this. Guess I should do a few more spirits and call it a day early tonight.

I completely understand that utter sadness. Years ago I lost 3 of my pups within 6 months of each other. 1 from cancer and 2 from heart disease. We'd bred them ourselves and literally had them their entire lives. It sucks and hurts so deeply.
