He is gone, out the door. He has his cage open at all times, and I didn't think he could fly, I just trimmed his wings two weeks ago! My mom left the front door open and he flew out into a tree. She yelled to tell me what happened and I went to to look, but he wasn't there. I have looked everywhere in view. We live on a farm with lots of opposums and coyotes and I'm afraid that if I don't find him, an animal will :(

I am taking our four wheeler out to the pasture to look in all of the trees.

I'm taking his cage our right now! My mom hopped on the 4 wheeler to go look. My sister is calling for him. I hope he comes back :( I can't believe this happened.

O no!:(:(:( I am praying that you find KeeWee! Take a bowl of water outside too. Maybe put his travel cage outside with his favorite food in his bowl and a fresh bowl of cold water. I know how hot it is there and I am praying that you find him!

Lex, sweetie, i dont think he will just "come back" . he's outside, he's confused and he's clipped so he can't get around as easilly. Its going to be up to you and your family and whoever you can get to help you find him. He might have gotten up high somewhere and you need to get him down. Listen, hopefully you'll be able to hear him.

Praying that you find him quickly. One thing we did was bring a bag of doritos outside and make noise with the bag. Tango always would come and try to sneak a dorito.

I agree he probably won't come back. You need to go out and look for him. Talk to your neighbors, contact Parrot 911, post on craigslist, talk to humane societies, animal control, bird rescues, bird stores, etc. Post posters at the bank, grocery stores, post office, etc. You need to go out and spread the word as much as possible.

Lex - I know you said your mom went out on the four wheeler looking, but i dont think thats a very good idea. I think you guys should go out walking. With the four wheeler you won't be able to look everywhere as thoroughly, you're going too fast and driving it at the same time. It could also be loud and scary for KeeWee and make him fly further away. I would get out there and walk.

I am so sorry Lex. I wish you lots of luck on finding him. I agree with the others that have told you that you should bring his cage outside, water, his favorite treats, and keep calling for him. Try to let your neighbors know so they can look for him as well.
