Thanks for sharing everybirdy!:) It's nice to know that there are parrots living their lives in the same home for as long as possible.:)
Unless something unforseen happens my guys aren't going anywhere. They're stuck with me now ;)

I've had Sandy bird for nine years here in another month. He's my sweet sweet little man.
Totally off topic but I just have to say that every time I see your siggie in my peripheral vision I think your two kitties are a monkey. I do a complete double take and realize its kitties. You would think my brain would catch on:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Clown the tiel is still living and with my Mom. She will be 38 on May 15th. She is more like a Sister then a "pet" as she has always been there:)

Long life is one of the reasons I always loved birds. You always expect them to be there...

Lets see... in August of 2000, I got into birds. I was 12 years old at the time. November of 2001, I was "given"/"bought" a 5 month old cockatiel, Casey. Scary to think she's almost 10 years old, and doesn't look like she's aged one bit! :p I on the other hand... well, I'm almost the big *5*!!!

Second longest was Noel, a cherry headed conure. Noel was given to me December of 2001, and passed away February of 2010, age estimated to be 17-19 years old, but possibly older.

Charlie, mitred conure, is the oldest confirmed bird here, going on 17 years old sometime this year (born 1994), and I've had him since he was about 12 or so (2006). Two of the cockatiels are estimated to be 13+, a bourke estimated to be 14-16 years old (was told she was 5-7 years old in 2002), a budgie I think that's 5 years or under, and the rest are of unknown ages.
