What's the longest period you've had one parrot?

Sachi is my oldest parrot. She'll be 4 years old in May. I brought her home after she weaned which was about 17 weeks. This means I've had her for about 3 years and 8 months.

Prior to Sachi I had a budgie. Brought her home when she was 10 weeks old. She lived until she was about 12 years old.

I got my Gracie fifteen years ago. I already had the demon PFLBs but did nothing with them except feed and clean them. Then Gracie opened my eyes to parrots. Almost a year after getting Gracie, I got her Chip as her mate, and it has gone uphill from there. The oldest bird I ever had continuously in the house was Katy, one of those demon lovebirds, and she died during her 24th year. My oldest bird in terms of age is now Precie, she is 30 this year but I have had her only going on 4 years.

I got Curly when she was 2 months old. She was born in 1995..so ive had her for 16 years.

I got Nala when she was just about a year and Iv had her for 4 years as of last Dec 26th.

i had my B&G since i was 21 but he passed away a few yrs ago,next is my U2 had since i was 23 and im 45 now,so ive had him 22yrs wow it dosent seem that long at all..my boy is 24yrs old,he was 2 when i got him,we are both getting old

I've had Sandy bird for nine years here in another month. He's my sweet sweet little man.

Wow 16 years and 22 years. I find it still amazing how long these guys can/will be in our lifes.

I had my cockatiel, Sammy, for 28 years, 2 months and 2 days. I still miss him so bad.

Coco has been with me nearly 15 years now.

My first bird was my Cockatiel male pied that I finished handfeeding myself. He lived 27yrs with me. My Pionus was next at 15yrs old. I have a friend that has her same Mexican Red head Amazon for almost 30yrs and I have another friend that has had her DYH Amazon in the same family for 66yrs.

Hmmmm maybe I read the title wrong? lol My answer was not as everyone else is answering...so, the longest I had one of my birds is about 21 years...and they are still with me now.

I have had Mali & Tilly (Cockatiels) the longest, I have had them for 3 years now, they were between 9-10 weeks old when I got them, and they are 3 years old now. (4 this year)

As of June I will have had Lucy for 5 years and August will be 5 years for Jessie.

I have only had Kiwi since the end of September.

Boggie, BFA, was one years old when I bought him for Poppa 1989 as a Christmas present...Still have him..he was our first large parrot...at the time I had 5 keets.
