Hello everyone so In my previous thread I mentioned how my budgie was shaking her head? This started after the vet gave her the first dose of baytril, but I don’t think that is making her shake her head. She shakes her head after picking at her feathers, and sometimes she’ll rub her cheeks against the perch so maybe she’s just had an itch in the same spot from yesterday...? It seems like she does has an itch but she’s been doing it since yesterday...

i have a video but it won’t let me post it
She does move it like she’s sneezing but she’s not
She shakes her head and then rubs her cheeks against the perch. She also sneezes when I put her to bed and has dried clear discharge above her nares in the morning. I’m scared she may have mites? But the doctor examined her and didn’t mention that she saw any signs of mites. She does have an upper respiratory infection tho, I think I’m going to give the vet a call today

Oh thanks so much, but I realized why she was doing that! It’s because the medicine gets all over her and it’s really sticky! When I clean it off she stops shaking her head
