Oh goodness! If you run out of that, I'm pretty sure we could put together a care package between up to keep you going for a while.
For real...don't starve, he needs you!!:hug8:

Wow! You guys are great!

Actually, it's not that bad! Everything will be fine! But the birdies always come first!

Me too.

I once lived on instant oatmeal for a month.

Does your Vet give you a discount because you rescue these birds? Also, how did you come to find him? Please tell us his story. Glad things are looking up and that he is with such a kind person as you.

Here's a picture of Stormy...when I brought him home 2 weeks ago, he was in horrible condition. His feet were nearly black and rotted away. After two weeks of 2 antibiotics and foot baths in Nolvasan/epsom salt, his feet have turned normal in color, the open sore in the bottom of the foot has healed and he's able to stand and move around. He's still got a ways to go, but he's doing much better!

Thank you all so much for the support!

Bless your heart Dana. Isn't he adorable! I love the blue around his eyes. I will continue to keep you and Stormy in my thoughts. How about you, have you had a decent meal lately?

I love that little guy!

And yes, Waterfaller, I'm hanging in there! Just 3 more days until payday! Yay!

Here's a photo for you of the first one that came to me in a similiar condition. His feet were incredibly swollen and he was pretty much on the verge of dying. He wouldn't move, hardly ate, but now he's doing pretty amazing!

He's looking fantastic. How are his tail feathers doing?

Titanis, his feathers have grown in beautifully. He now has about 3 inches of tail feathers. I think come spring he'll be just amazing! He's also taming up quite a bit. Every evening I pull him out for a "tour" of the house and then I clean out his beak and rub coconut oil on his feet and beak. It relaxes him quite a bit, so much that I can actually kiss his little head while doing it. He's a pain in the rear to catch now, but once I have him, he's fine!

That is a beautiful bird. You have done wonders for him. I can't wait to see him six months from now.
