Photobucket hosting problems

Why are all the signatures hosted from photobucket not showing.

Are they having temporary problems?

I've so many signatures hosted from there, I'd hate to see them not allowing sharing anymore.

They had introduced a paid model without advertising. I'll bet money they turned off the third party hosting for the free version. Site is all redesigned too. If I go there on my Mac using Chrome it hard crashes my machine. Something is wrong with the site.

I think "you" may have to start using the paid version ($2.49/mnth) in order for the "sharing" to work. Not positive about that but it seems that's the hook they are looking for.

The very powerful Google Photos (free) has been eating everybody's shorts. It will kill most of them.

All my vendor logos went through photobucket, what a mess they made.

We are waiting to see if our software for the forum will have a workaround as photobucket was commonly used for signatures files. It just may take a bit.

Do you have those pictures stored locally on a drive somewhere (you should)? If not download everything there to a local folder and just install the google photos app on your machine (all your devices) and it will automatically upload/backup every picture on your machine.

It should be easy to export them from PB but how much you want to bet they mucked with that too.

Yes I have them stored on my harddrive.

I hope AA can fix things.

I'll have to look into the app, I've never had an app. Guess it's time to learn.

I have over 30,000 photos on my hardrive. That's a lot of uploading!

No, you don't need Itunes.

But it saw I didn't have it and told me to upload it.

I did start it (not Itunes)...it seems stuck on photo 153....

I see the black ball of doom on alot of sites that are hosted by the bucket.

Lady Jane did a thread about a week back. I only have about 5 sigs on bucket.

Went thru this with Image shack a while back & haad alot of photos some of which I lost when my old desktop died.

I paid the $4 for one month just to get access to the phots & copied what I needed & then dropped it.

Not sure how the google is working. I uploaded a sig but when you linked to it it have out all your private info & email which I don;t want displayed publcally with the photo so I need to know how & if I can tweak it to jusst show the photo without it giving out my name & email.

So far they have not pulled mine...I have only 5 or so small sigs anyway...so I am not using much of there bandwidth.

From an article I read, make sure your photos are still there, read they are charging $300.00 a year

Image shack at least sent you an email of the change & have you access to your photos for a while. Least they said they sent it or I deleted it. When I finally noticed I did not have access to my pictures I paid the mo fee to copy them.
They held them randsom for a long time but guess they couls delethem they but should give you advance warning.

I think mine is linked with facebook on a email I never check but a few times a year as nothing really important goes there.

Their site also has a TON more advertising and logs you out randomly. The $2.49 and month is for an add free version...
