I've never had the peppermint give the cocoworm a hard time...

I like the firefish, but they're too active. I've had two (both jumped) in my 30 reef at my parents house and they were very active. I need mellow, shy fish.

The tailspot blenny is PERFECT! He loves to hide in his hole in his rock and peek out. He does a lap around the rock looking insanely cute, and then back into his hole with his head poking out.

I want another fishie like him!!

PS Carol, I'm running a 29 gallon tank. I think I want 1-2 more fish MAX. Preferably smaller in size...

Got ya.:highfive: Any of the small gobies I just posted would do well, or the Rose goby you like. I just added a new yellow clown goby. He is so bright and full of sunshine.:) We haven't had one for years. The smaller gobies are not as likely to jump as a fish like the yashia...very very jumpy!

The tank originally was supposed to be an invert tank. Then I took my clownfish from my parents who weren't caring for him anymore. So I ended up with a 29 gallon. I love this simple tank! I might do another reef somewhere down the road... maybe...

Good luck with it.:hug8: I wanted to add, stay away from Rainford's and Hector's gobies. To spite their small size, they really need a big tank to do well long term.

I also keep a female red scooter dragonet,
Saltwater Aquarium Fish for Marine Aquariums: Red Scooter Dragonet
and female spotted mandarin,
http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/detailed_image.cfm?pCatId=554
like your green mandarin, they are dragonets and do best with live foods. Of the three, in my experience, the red scooter is the most likely to take to prepared foods, mysis.
ORA breeds green and spotted mandarins who are raised on prepared foods now, even flake! They can be over twice the price, but well worth it.

The dusky is similar to the blue and gold one I posted. They are neat little fish. Escenius blennies will pick at hard coral.{I know you don't have it now, but in case you might in the future}
Not a big Chromis fan. They are mid column swimmers, and are touted as schooling fish which is never true in aquariums. They get quite large too. When young and timid, they will stick together. As they age, one generally picks off all the others until there is just one left.:rolleyes:

I've been very curious about pipefish. How hard are they to keep?
