He is absolutely magnificent..how wonderful that he is a house rooster...and a spoiled one..
Yeah, so much for the mini chicken huh? He's almost five months old, so I don't know if he'll still get bigger. I'd bet he's probably about two pounds now. Last time we weighed him he was 24 ounces. He's big, almost as big as Penny Lane, my Easter Egg hen. I was expecting him to be smaller.
You're supposed to be able to teach them all sorts of tricks. We saw an online video of one chicken who learned to fetch! The only thing Daggy knows how to do is hump socks that get left out!House chickens. <3 I remember my high school best friend had one. She was the cutest dang thing, wore a diaper and the whole bit. We taught her tricks and she loved it. She slept in a cat bed and used the edge like a pillow. Her family also had house pigeons who also wore diapers (albeit much smaller) and had free fly of the house. It was such a fun place. :]
Yep, I just love his feet! LOL!He's magnificent! And I LOVE the feathers on his little feet! My grandmother had a house chicke...a little banty hen named Brownie.
I know, can you believe he once fit in the palm of my hand????? And that comb and the wattles literally would grow from morning to night! We would leave for work in the morning and when we would come home at night, THEY WERE BIGGER!He has gotten HUGE!!! Look at that waddle!!
Yes, he's kind of a dirty little chicken! We need to get moving on training him to do "useful" things!HEHE! He's a naughty chicken. We taught their girlie to ring a bell and pick out shapes, colors, etc. <3
