You asked for it - You got it! Recent pics of the Dag! He's SO BIG now and spoiled rotten! I was on the phone last night with someone about possibly refinancing and he crowed and the guy on the other end said, "Is that a...rooster?" I said, "Yeah..." He said, "HOW COOL?!??!?!" I said, "Yeah...." Now he seems to be working extra hard to get our refinance to go through! The wonders of house chickens! HAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAH!

Ha! That's actually a coat hanging back there! Merlie found me that playstand on Craigslist! We LOVE it!

He's absolutely gorgeous! I love his comb, its very cute.

Let's just say, he whines when we make him go outside, even for a little while...

Is he aggressive with the parrots?

He doesn't like the Cockatoos for some reason and got into it a few times with Reggie who is so plucked he can't fly. Reggie gave him two really good bites on his comb but they healed up nicely. He's gone after Kishie a few times...the first time he went after Kishka, Kish didn't know what was going on but flew away quickly. Now Kish likes to bait him and loves to dive bomb him. Dagbert does NOT appreciate that! When they are both sitting on the furniture, Dagbert doesn't seem to mind Kishka. Reggie will not go anywhere near him. He doesn't bother with the other parrots for whatever reason. Abigail is absolutely terrified of him though which is kind of funny considering out of all the parrots, she's the biggest one. It's kind of funny to see all her feathers totally go up on her body. When he's out and she's out, she stays way up on the boing where he can't get her! The rest just ignore him, especially the greys.

Actually, he's very similar to the parrots. He can't fly because of the frizzle mutation but he can hop. We've caught him on top of the parrot cages a few times and the parrots don't seem to mind but we try to discourage that. During the day, he has full reign of the parrot room since he isn't destructive. At night, he's Jon's buddy. The only thing that kind of drives me crazy is his crow which he does when you don't pay attention to him. That and he likes to bite feet sometimes. He's much cuddlier than the parrots too and will nip when you try to get him to do something he doesn't want to do but that's pretty rare.

A house chicken! well ROOSTER. That is so cool! He is beautiful! Does having him make you not want to eat chicken? I don't think I could ever eat chicken if he lived in my house. Do you ever put a harness or flight suit on him?

Nope, we still eat chicken and have even given him chicken...he loves it! LOL! No need for a flight suit since he can't fly. He's a wuss about going outside too. If we force him to go outside, he sticks very close to us. We did try a diaper on him but he doesn't like it much...

He hangs out downstairs with the parrots when we're not home. He's messy but not destructive.
