My lovies are quite big and I am pretty sure they can get through 5/8 bars, Maybe you can Find deal on a craigslist sort of site?

I've been looking on Craigslist and Kijiji. The good deals always have a problem. Like rust or something.

That is a pity, but Maybe a good deal Will pop up soon! Also a lot of things are fixable, I am no expert on such a topic, but if the bottom platen is rustend for example, those are easily replaced with a new one

So my fingers can fit between the cage bars. Does that mean a budgie head could?

Well I'm going to West Coast Tropical Bird Studio Inc to have a look at their cages. Hopefully I'll come home with one or two.

Well I came home with one. It looks smaller then it is but it is a massive upgrade for size. Triple B is acting pretty happy in his new cage.
