I'm not exactly sure how they would work for you. If we can get the mini mini ones done I will think about the bolt on mechanics. It wouldn't be too difficult I don't think. :)

How do things look Sarah? Hubby hands sore yet?

Always  The ones pictured sold the first day, made two more batches since.

The little ones.... have not found beads with small enough holes yet. :meh: The beads are smaller but the hole size is the same. Have more on order so waiting for them to arrive.

LOL It's the regular mini that Sarah makes. I'm trying to introduce Rupert to toys. He doesn't really get them.

So if I get the mini mini ones made, what on earth do you guys put on them? Pony beads? Lol

Rupert would probably pick it up and use it to scratch himself with. There are small toy parts. You can fit a lot on the minis.

I LOOOOOVE my two!!mI just received them on Friday. I'm not as creative as @Peachfaced and put some snap beads my BEAKS LOVES from Tweety Pies on it. I did see him enjoying the colored ball after the beads were gone too!

LOL I've had those blocks since Christmas and didn't realize you could assemble them in weird shapes. I'm usually rubbish with toys! Even the birds turn their beaks up unless it has food hidden in it. :meh:

I feel like an idiot when I try to make toys. Usually they're a FLOP; but you gotta keep on TRYING! I keep buying toy parts to save money, but I'm buying toys too because I suck at making toys. LOL Something is wrong here!

Btw would it be possible/would you ever consider making them so they they can bolt on to the side of the cage, kind of like a perch?

Oh...I would love some "bolt on" mini skewers! For more size comparisons - my tiel Lily in the pic I posted with the mini skewer is my largest tiel at 100 g.

What is your cage bar spacing? I'm sure the littles don't use 1" bar spacing.

Are the cages strong enough to hold a slightly heavy side mount one? How long?

The cages I have are 1/2" bar spacing. I have used platform perches from OG and the flagstone? perches from "bird on the rocks". They can handle some weight.

So 1"-1 1/2" washers? How long for the skewers? My test ones are about 6" right now.

The washers on the flagstone and OG platform have 2" washers. They are my heaviest perches. Other platform perches I have use 1 1/2" washers. I think 6" is a good size for a side mount but for my "littles" even smaller would work.
