Meet my new boy Cheeko!!!

I knew I would be here sooner or later It was just a matter of caving the SO into letting me get a conure...

but I'd like to introduce my new boy, Cheeko. He's a 2 year old plain ol' green cheek - totally friendly little booger already. I accidentally broke quarantine without even thinking about it, and don't take from my example here - but Phoenix isn't even bothered by the new addition. Cheeko's been around tiels before, so I'm hoping they get along well enough to be "out" together at the same time -but we'll see. Cheeky has terrible, butchered wings like Phoenix did - good thing we know how to deal with it now

I have both tiels and gccs - while the tiels are pretty laid back - the gccs are intense, into everything they are curious about and very much "it's all about me". Sometimes temperamental and nippy but still so very lovable. You just have to grow eyes in the back of your head and be prepared for anything at all.

Phoenix flew on top of Cheeko's cage to investigate... I was ready to jump in and separate them, but they just chilled out together until Phoenix jumped back to me

Is he from a pet store? My maroon-belly came from one and they did a hack job on his wings as well. I'm curious if he's got a BBF on his band... if so, he's from the same place as my Zorro

Nope, I got him from a classified ad. His past owner was very kind, I just think she didn't have a clue how to clip properly. He's banded but it's not BBF Looks like HL D?

Normal GCC or beautiful birds. With all the mutations the normals are not seen as often as they use to be. So, I think it is great to see a beautiful normal colored cheekie.

Oh, of course I really had my heart set on a turquoise but he just felt "right". We've always had a pet named Cheeko in my family as long as I can remember.

He's too cute - he steps up and goes "home" into his cage on command - and he puts his head down for scratches and lets me flip him on his back. It's so weird to be able to touch him on the back and wings without being bitten
