While that date is speculated, do not get your heart set on that date, she would not even be hardly 3 months old. Just make sure your breeder is not or does not push to wean. I raised Pionus for many years and I never turned any of mine over to the new owner until more like 4 months old ... this way there is not the chance that the bird would regress. While many people who breed Pionus, too many tend to wean them by 3 months old ... I've never understood that.
$1,200 for a Dusky? That is pretty much a hard stab into one's pocket. Even Coral Bills who hold more of a rarity would barely go for that price. People certainly take advantage of the so called "rarity" in birds.
