But you aren't far from how she got her name.

I was pretty set on Penny, well Penelope.
Have wanted to name a bird that way for a while but it didn't seem suit Pixel and Pixel it was.

But then I figured with the Cape I would ask my SO what he would like as a name. And being a total nerd, he went for Leia for the aforementioned "chick". I did like the ring, not the reference, but liked it better simplified to Lea/Léa.
SO also said that if she turns out to be a male, we could..and I immediately stopped his dreams of going for Luke, before he even said anything. IF that should happen, I have a back-up name I think would work well for a male Cape.

It did feel great. The breeder couldn't get her out fast enough.
I think she might be a feisty little thing. She didn't want to stay in my hands, she wanted to be closer to me and wasn't happy until I had her lying on me and held my hand on her side. Could have been for heat, but she knew what she wanted!

When I went to see her sister and brother, her sister looked like she was over all of this and a bit annoyed her brother seemed sleepy and not too interested.

I didn't hold the other two.
Had I not gone to look at the fishes in the other end of the store, I might have been there when he took them out before putting them in their tank.

But..while Lea seemed interested to come and see me when we took her container out, the other two didn't really come towards me when I went next to their tank.

Oh my goodness Lea is just too cute for words!! They are a bit feisty..just wait until she is hanging off your bangs trying to reach whatever you are eating! Olivia loves to fly to my head, and swing down to my shoulder by my hair. lol. Makes for a lot of birdy bad hair days. They are little balls of fun and sweetness!

Natacha's Cape girlie dream has finally come true!

Still have to wait until the end of August / beginning of September before she comes here.
She'll be kept a full two weeks longer after she really stopped taking any formula so they can make sure her weight stays the same.
While I'm all for that, I'm sure I'll grow impatient when the time comes closer
