Help Chatters is bleeding from his mouth

Chatter(tiel) was eating his seed mix and suddenly started making this noise and has been doing it now for a few minutes I got him out and blood came out of his mouth onto my finger. Help what can I do! Not sure if he got a seed stuck somewhere or what.

Was there anything sharp in his food that might have accidentally cut his mouth or tongue?

You need to get him into the vets ASAP. He's so little it's going to be hard to see what the problem is. Do you have an avian vet or can we help you locate one?

Not that I know of. I took a short video will try and get it loaded asap. I can't get ahold of my financial help line either and my husband is at work and I have my 2 kids.

Okay can you restrain him. Get a tube sock and cut off the foot and try and ease him into it so you can control him while your looking to see what's wrong. Do you have a small flashlight?

Here's the link to an avian vet in Idaho. Please call them and see if you can get a vet on the phone to help you do an exam. Also if your not anywhere close they might be able to recommend a vet in your area.

Can you flush out his mouth with a syringe. Be careful not to aspirate him.

Ginger the link didn't show and if it's a different vet then my last vet I'd prefer to go to a different one almost.

Get on the phone and call him, ask him if you can make payment arrangements or barter some kind of office work or something. At least ask him what to do.

Here's a short video of him he has since stopped doing the noise so much but his breathing isn't normal and still has some fluid coming out of his mouth not pure blood anymore. I have him in a hospital cage all covered up.

You MUST get him to a vet. He is in distress. CALL YOUR VET AND ASK HIM WHAT TO DO. Do you have a neighbor who can take him or watch the kids?

Poor baby. If he is having stuff come up like that something is definitely not right. Not sure what that noise and his movement was about but that didn't seem right either.

Take him to the vet asap! It sounds like a respiratory infection? Ginger your great, great advice and suggestions! Try to keep him warm, a heat lamp over 1/2 of his cage will help.
