Pictures Good to be Back Home

I boarded Leto for the second time ever this past week. We went home to visit family and friends. It was definitely harder for me than it was for Leto

The folks taking care of him (at the vet facility) said he was a wonderful bird and they could tell he was well loved That just melted my heart. They even sent me a picture. But he wouldn't let anyone's hands in his cage (so I still feel special there )

Here are a few pics of me taking him to the facility and then home lovin' too.


Hee was helping me stock up on toys and perches. I was surprised how little other birds had in there cages.

Thanks JT! You know it! For some reason whenever he's in my bedroom he always has poofycheeks he does love to nibble, especial the underwear but never pits a hole in it

Dobby did awesome when we boarded him right down the street from home. The lady said he was such a confident bird and a blast to have around. He was all over and was causing mayhem with the other birds. Sounds like Leto did similar and also had a great time.

Just got.back myself. Their joy to see you when you come home is special. I use a sitter who comes into house a couple of times a day.

Leto is beyond adorable. He is clearly crazy about you. It is so hard to leave them but at least you know they are cared for and doing fine while you are gone.

It's so hard to leave them! I haven't gone anywhere since I've had my current 4. In 8 years I only left Pogo for 2 weekends and a 2 week trip; only 1 weekend was boarded, the other times he stayed home.

Also you mention you were surprised about other birds and what they had while boarding.....you are not the usual bird mom! Leto is lucky!

It is hard but they adjust to a good pet sitter or boarder. It definitely is hard to find someone knowledgeable enough about birds and to whom you trust your babies but possible. Not the same as having you but they make out ok.

It it's definitely a huge relief to have somebody take care of Leto that is bird savvy and likes birds.

Lol. I don't think I'd go anywhere either but I've got to compromise with my husband. It isn't my best skill
