Hal had a great life & it seems he went quick & painlessly in his sleep all cuddled up & safe so not much more anyone could want.

Oh no! I’m so very sorry for your loss, John. Hal was a special guy for sure.

He knew he was loved very much and clearly loved you.

He managed to make his way over to my shoulder. He tucked himself into my neck went to sleep and died.

That brings tears to my eyes. But I’m so glad that he was with the one he loved most when he left.

If only every bird knew the kind of love that you had for Hal.
