Freak accident

i am so very sorry. they call them 'accidents' for a reason. if it was intentional they would call them 'on purposes'. i would like to tell you dont beat yourself up, but i know i would feel the same as you are now. such advice is alot easier to give than take. live and learn is all you can do. because it really isnt something you should feel guilt about, it was an accident and accidents happen sometimes.

I too am so sorry for your loss. Makes me shutter to think how many times wasn't thinking and have suffered some losses in birds over the years. Things I just never thought about.

Chels, I'm so sorry for your loss of Junip. It's a good thing to share your story, though. It reminds us all to be constantly vigilant. Leaving out glasses partially full of liquid (esp yummies like soda, etc) are drowning dangers, too. Please forgive the lecture; Nicky (SC) almost drowned in a glass the first week I got him.
