Yes, it has been a bad week. Last week we were moving the Budgies from the patio cage to the aviary and Morris slipped my grip and took off. There was a strong wind and he was gone so very quick. Then one of the baby IRN I was hand raising died over Thursday night. Thankfully it wasn't the one who already has a family waiting for him.

Please no more. I have lost three birds in a matter of days.

I almost lost my Miracle the same way. I fortunately found her in the bucket before she had died but she was limp and I thought she was going to die. I'm so so sorry but you are not the only one this has happened to. I hope your story can help people be more careful with leaving water where birds can fall into it. I'm sure you've saved other birds by experiencing this.
