What is the best egg food for budgies.

Ok thanks mine are just under a year old, heard it was good for them to have some.

I only know of people using it for weaning, supporting sick birds or breeding pairs. I offered it once when my little guy was a bit under the weather but he had no interest in it- was happier with an offering of millet and fresh broccolini.

I gave bit of Quicko to my birds during their most recent heavy, molts but honestly I think a tiny bit of scrambled eggs would likely be better

I would imagine all brands are pretty much the same. I bought vitakraft. They werent crazy about egg food period. I doubt brand had anything to do with it.I know people whos birds do eat it and they swear by the stuff. You got nothing to lose by trying it.

I have used Psittacus egg food in the past.

If your birds are a year old I wouldn't bother with egg food mix unless you are going to breed them next year. For a bird that will be a pet/companion, they don't need egg food. As other members said, a bit of scrambled egg as well as fresh veggies is better. During moults you can use a supplement I have recently been using Nekton biotin feather reconstruction (I am not sure it's English name because my tub is in Spanish) for my bird who was recovering from an injury and was re growing feathers in the hurt area.
I have another Nekton supplement for VitD3 and Calcium for my youngset hen when she lays.
Supplements are the easiest way to make sure our birds get any vitamins/minerals that is lacking from their regular diet.
