So sorry you lost him! I hope you are able to get some answers from the necropsy. He was far too young. :sadhug2:

I'm forewarning everyone to remove the happy huts I found out the cause of my birds death was due to or ingesting poisonous fibers these products need to be taken off the market

It's heartbreaking - I've read all sorts of horror stories about birds getting caught in loose threads if the fabric is worn, but this is the first time I've heard of the fibres being toxic. It's outrageous that anyone can market items like this using materials that are not guaranteed safe - it should go without saying. Is there any way to tell if it's safe? Or is the only answer to bin them?

I'm so sorry this happened to poor Spunky, but thank you for the warning.

The bird will forever remain in the memories and will always miss them my remainder of the flock that day where so depressed. I couldn't handle the pain. Granted I took in two birds that were unwanted that same day . Spunky was a lifelong lesson and they specifically say not for conures on the packaging and having lost one to it I took out everyone of them out of the flocks cages to protect them. Now I have an incubator for any sick bird I have and a mistake of trusting a happy hut creates pain. I had to hang up the toys and happy hut in my bedroom since I'm grieving so much
