Wow, I am surprised to hear that you think they are easy to keep! I had read many times that they are the MESSIEST eaters of all the land (fling stuff ALL over the walls and floors and ceiling more so than most birds), and they are very picky about the freshness of the fruit they eat - which by the way is the ONLY thing they eat - Fresh Blueberrys and other hard to find and expensive seasonal fruits. AND I read that they are LOUDDDD!!!

Maybe you think they are easy in comparison to too's? LOL

Elliot is a Green Aracari(toucanete)and he is not messy i cut his food up small he dosent fling it at all my ciaques and,Grey,and Military are MUCH MUCH messier when he poops it is straight down and almost always in the same spot not really picky and he eats no different than my other birds as far as expensive fruit.....like this wk he is having a mixure of honeydew,canalope,pap,english cuke,sweet tater,pears,bananas,strawberry,and grapes all of my birds eat fruit especially my ekiesso nothing extra there and like i sad he is a toucanete even at his LOUDEST he is very pleasent to listen to(ive never had a prob finding his fruits...) hope this answers your questions
